Ardell Hatch of Vermillion, SD, has been one of the most dedicated and loyal supporters of Coyote athletics. Inducted into the Special Contributors category for his longtime support of Coyote Athletics, he spent 40 years in private business before retiring in 1985. Hatch was a helpful figure in promoting the DakotaDome concept when plans were being formalized. A person always behind the scenes when organizing or planning Coyote functions at various locations and significant promoter for many sporting events, Hatch was recognized as just the fourth honorary alumnus of USD at their annual alumni banquet in 1988.
