Jack Litzelman, a retired farmer, rancher, and lawyer in Vermillion, has been one of the Coyotes biggest boosters over the years, establishing numerous scholarships. Litzelman was chosen as the first honorary alumni of USD in 1977 and earned the USD Distinguished Service Award at the 1980 graduation. Jack and his wife, Burl, served as honorary parade marshals of the 1980 Dakota Day parade.
