Phillip Meehan, a native of Hartford, S.D., was an outstanding all-purpose running back for the Coyote football team in the 1990s. A two-time all-NCC selection, he ranks fifth in Coyote history with 108 receptions. Phillip is the only USD player to top 1,000 yards rushing, receiving and on kickoff returns. His 34 consecutive games with at least one catch is a school record. Phillip graduated from USD in 1999 and again in 2003 with a degree in physician assistant studies. Phillip is now a physician assistant at the Avera Medical Group and lives in Sioux Falls with his wife, Megan, and their twin sons, Ryder and Trey.
