William Hall, president and general manager of Dakota By-Products Company of Sioux Falls, was a major contributor during the initial fundraising of the DakotaDome. More than that, he will always be remembered for his positive guidance during the trying times in the early development of the Dome. Hall has long been recognized in the area as a strong active booster of athletic programs at both the high school and intercollegiate level. Hall is a 1935 graduate of Sioux Falls Washington where he was a member of the 1934 state championship basketball team and was the tri-state tennis singles champion in 1935. He played his first football while a student for two years at St. John's Military Academy in Wisconsin before enrolling at the University of Montana. He served as president and general manager of Dakota By-Products Company of Sioux Falls, SD.
