VERMILLION, S.D. -- The South Dakota women's volleyball camp opened on Friday with 14 high school teams from South Dakota and Nebraska competing in pool play. The teams also receive instruction on technique and strategy during the camp. More than 120 campers are participating in the volleyball camp, which concludes on Saturday evening (July 30). USD volleyball also held a camp earlier this summer.
Participating teams include Dodge, Neb.; Clearwater, Neb.; Gretna, Neb.; Watertown, S.D.; S.F. Washington (two squads); Bon Homme (Tyndall, S.D.); Sully Buttes (Onida, S.D.), Lincoln (Neb.) Piux X, Howells, Neb.; Northwestern (Cresbard, S.D.); Gettysburg, S.D.; and South Shore, S.D. The competition is being held on five courts in the Dome.
The team competition will be held from 1:30 to 5:15 and 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, July 29-30.
