Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska spoiled the beginning of a four-game road swing for The University of South Dakota women's soccer team on Friday, defeating the Coyotes, 9-0 in Lincoln, Neb.

The Huskers, a consistent contender in the Big 12 Conference, improved to 5-1-1 on the season and won their fourth straight game.

The Coyotes fought hard in the first half and were within 2-0 at halftime. Jennifer Ogren (Jr., Raymore, Mo.) kept the Coyotes close in the first half with seven saves in net. Morgan Marlborough and Colleen Goetzmann had goals in the first half for Nebraska.

The Huskers, who are averaging 4.33 goals a game, displayed their explosiveness in the second half with seven goals as they pulled away.

Sarah Wheeler (Jr., Duluth, Minn.), Rachel Greene (Fr., Onalaska, Wis.), Erin Bello (So., Fort Collins, Colo.) and Yutzil Rodriguez (Fr., Pierre, S.D.) had shots for USD. Ogren had seven saves, while Taura Truba (So., Coaldal, Alberta, Canada) finished with six.

USD (2-4) resumes action Sunday at future Summit League foe Missouri-Kansas City. Game time is set for 5 p.m. in Kansas City, Mo.
