Box Score OREM, Utah - - Freshman Jenny Teslow scored a late first-half goal, but it wasn't enough as
the University of South Dakota women's soccer team fell to Utah Valley, 4-1, in Great West Conference action Saturday in Orem, Utah.
Utah Valley (6-7-1, 3-0-0 GWC) led 3-0 at one point in the first half before Teslow (Sioux Falls, S.D.) got on the board.
Teslow scored her goal with an assist from freshman Taylor Henderson (Keller, Texas) 27:49 into the game, bringing USD within 3-1.
However, that is as close as the Coyotes (4-8-2, 1-2-0 GWC) would get as Utah Valley scored a second-half goal on a penalty kick.
Senior Jen Ogren (Raymore, Mo.) had a season-high 17 saves for USD in the defeat. Teslow had four shots, while sophomore Erin Bello (Fort Collins, Colo.) added three shots. USD finished with 14 shots for the game
The Coyotes will conclude the regular-season with a three-game homestand -- all against Great West Conference foes. The homestand starts on Friday, Oct. 22 at home against Houston Baptist for a 4 p.m. game.
