Box Score WATERLOO, Iowa -- The University of South Dakota women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie with Northern Iowa in nonconference action Sunday in Waterloo, Iowa.
USD (3-6-2) is now 0-3-1 all-time against UNI (2-9-2).
Senior Jen Ogren (Raymore, Mo.) kept the Panthers off the scoreboard with seven saves and posted her second shutout of the season. Ogren had five saves in the second half as UNI had 11 shots in that frame.
UNI had a 20-9 edge in shots in the game, although the first half was even with both sides posting five shots.
USD was led by freshman Afton Keiser (Sioux Falls, S.D.), who had two shots on goal. Sophomore Erin Bello (Fort Collins, Colo.) had two shots, including one on goal, while senior Michelle Marshall (Des Moines, Iowa), freshman Jenny Teslow (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and freshman Kerry Grogan (Sioux Falls, S.D.) each had one shot on goal.
The Coyotes are off until Friday, Oct. 8 when they open Great West Conference play at North Dakota. Game time is 3 p.m. in Grand Forks, N.D.
