Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The South Dakota women's soccer team fell to Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne, 2-0 in Summit League action Sunday afternoon in Fort Wayne, Ind. The game wrapped up a two-game weekend road trip for the Coyotes, who fell to 1-2-1 in Summit League play.
The Coyotes stayed close in the game, and were within 1-0 until IPFW scored in the 73rd minute to make it 2-0.
The shots on goal were even in the game - IPFW had five and the Coyotes finished with four.
Junior Erin Bello (Fort Collins, Colo.) had three shots, including one on goal, while freshman Lauren Bennett (Walton, Ky.) had two shots, including one on goal. Freshen Madi Myers (Anoka, Minn.), Makena Cameron (Cheyenne, Wyo.), Rebecca Pederson (Waconia, Minn.) and freshman Morgan Kayvan (Keokuk, Iowa) added shots for the Coyotes.
Freshman goalkeepers Mackenzie Viktor (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Kayla Wegman (Omaha, Neb.) each played 45 minutes in net. Viktor had two saves.
The Coyotes return to action Saturday at Missouri-Kansas City for another Summit League game.
