Box Score OMAHA, Neb. - The South Dakota women's soccer team battled Boise State to a scoreless tie for more than 100 minutes, but the Broncos scored a goal in the early moments of the second overtime to edge the Coyotes, 1-0, in a nonconference game Friday in Omaha, Neb.
Freshman Mackenzie Viktor (Fort Collins, Colo.) kept Boise State off the scoreboard for more than 100 minutes and finished the game with four saves for the Coyotes (0-5-2).
The Coyotes finished with 13 shots in the game, led by sophomores Jenny Teslow (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Afton Keiser (Sioux Falls, S.D.) with three apiece. Freshmen Lauren Bennett (Walton, Ky.) and Rebecca Pederson (Waconia, Minn.) had two shots each. Teslow, Bennett and freshman Makena Cameron (Cheyenne, Wyo.) had shots on goal.
Boise State (4-5) had a 19-13 edge in shots, including 10-4 in the first half. Both teams had six shots in the second half.
The Coyotes resume action on Friday, Sept. 23 at Wyoming.
