VERMILLION, S.D.--A back-and-forth match between South Dakota and Omaha appeared to be headed to overtime until Omaha's Danielle Archuleta tracked down a loose ball deep in USD territory and passed it across the box to Hannah Wampler for the decisive goal with 20 seconds remaining.

South Dakota (1-9-3, 0-2-1 Summit League) twice rallied to tie the game up after falling behind one goal. With eight minutes remaining in the second half USD's Danielle Anderson (Elkhorn, Neb.) beat UNO goalkeeper Meaghan Clark to knot the score at two. Allison Giddings' (Ramsey, Minn.) back line-to-back line pass found Erin Bello (Fort Collins, Colo.) who hit Anderson with a quick touch pass for the goal.

Jenny Teslow (Sioux Falls, S.D.) scored the Coyotes' first goal. Teslow fielded a through ball from sophomore midfielder Makena Cameron (Cheyenne, Wyo.) and side-stepped the goalie before finishing into an open net.

"We played a much better second half," said head coach Mandy Green. "We changed our plan of attack and began looking deeper into the defense with our first passes. By playing balls in behind the defense we were able to get our forwards some nice looks at the goal."

Omaha's (2-11, 2-1 Summit League) Wampler opened the scoring by corralling Anna Sibson's corner kick and firing a shot into the upper right corner. The two goals were the first of Wampler's career. Morgan Westenburg scored the Mavericks second goal on a penalty kick.

Teslow leads South Dakota with five goals, while Anderson's was her fourth of the year.

"We were off from the beginning today," Green said. "We lacked focus and didn't bring the same energy that we've had in our last few games. Unfortunately it seems like we've become a better road team.

"We are going to continue to get after it and improve. We'll be up early tomorrow morning to practice and work toward playing a full 90 minutes."
