FARGO, N.D.—North Dakota State forward Lauren Miller broke a scoreless tie three minutes into overtime with her seventh goal of the season as the Bison got past South Dakota 1-0 Sunday at Ellig Sports Complex.
USD goalkeeper Mackenzie Viktor faced 20 shots on the day and had nine saves – one shy of her career high – but saw her team go scoreless for the third game in a row. The Coyotes (5-6-3, 0-3-0 Summit) mustered three shots on goal in the contest.
Miller scored from the top of the box from 10 yards away. It was her second overtime game-winner in three days. Miller is the Bison's leading scorer with 18 points (7G, 4A) this season. North Dakota State (7-7-0, 3-1-0) has won three of its last four.
