OMAHA, Neb.—Creighton forward Lauren Cingoranelli scored the first two goals of a 4-0 win against South Dakota Friday at Morrison Stadium. Both teams entered the contest unbeaten in their last four matches. Creighton moved to 5-2-0 while the Coyotes slipped to 3-2-2.
Cingoranelli scored in the 25th minute and made it 2-0 shortly after halftime with her third goal of the season. She assisted on the Bluejays' third goal finished by Ylenia Sachau with less than seven minutes to play. Kirstyn Corder's fourth goal this season capped the scoring.
The Coyotes had allowed one goal in their prior three contests entering Friday, but faced 20 Creighton shots, including 12 on goal. USD took 10 shots, four on goal, and did not take a corner kick during the match.
USD finished its longest road trip of the season with a 3-1-1 mark. The Coyotes host College of St. Mary at 1 p.m. Sunday at the USD Soccer Complex.
