TUSCON, Ariz. – Arizona's Kalei Mau and Kendra Dahlke had 11 kills apiece to lead the 16
th-ranked Wildcats (4-0) over the South Dakota Coyotes (0-4) 25-13, 25-23, 25-14 late Friday night at the McKale Center.

Sydney Dimke led the Coyotes with 10 kills and sophomore
Brittany Jessen had a double-double with 20 assists and 11 digs. Freshmen
Hayley Dotseth added seven kills.
"That's a very good Arizona team," said South Dakota head coach
Leanne Williamson. "The second set showed we have the ability to play with anyone. We wanted a different outcome, but we need to continue to learn from this competition and continue growing as a team."
Arizona jumped out to a 12-2 lead to control the first set. The Wildcats hit .533 (17-1-30) in the opening set and .398 (47-8-98) in the match. Dahlke and Mau combined for 11 kills in the opening set.
The Coyotes used a 10-4 run capped by a service ace from Jessen to take a 23-22 lead on Arizona in set two. The Wildcats responded with a kill from Nikki Attea and two misses from the Coyotes sealed the set for Arizona.
The Wildcats built a 7-1 lead in set three and extended their lead to 20-9 on a kill from Mau. Dahlke recorded two of the final three points to secure the win.
The Coyotes continue play tomorrow against Cal State Northridge at 2 p.m. and Florida A&M at 7 p.m.
