DENVER—Pioneer midfielder Hannah Adler scored in the 38th minute as Denver slipped past South Dakota 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at CIBER Field.
Denver (6-7-0, 3-0-0 Summit) and South Dakota State remain tied atop the Summit standings as the only two teams that remain undefeated in league play. South Dakota (2-12-1, 1-3-0 Summit) currently sits in seventh.
A Denver free kick in South Dakota's defensive third set up the play for Adler. Denver's Angelica Pacheco and Mary Dewalt were credited on the assist.

The Coyotes host in-state rival South Dakota State at 3 p.m. Friday at First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex. With USD volleyball's win in Brookings, S.D., last weekend, the Coyotes lead the South Dakota Showdown Series 1-0. The soccer match marks the second event of the series.
