INDIANAPOLIS—South Dakota's scoring spread with nine players contributing five or more points played a key role as the Coyotes escaped IUPUI 74-63 inside the Jungle.
South Dakota (24-5, 15-1 Summit) extends its winning streak to 14 games. The Coyotes also finish with the third-best regular season winning percentage in league history. With the loss, IUPUI (20-9, 11-5 Summit) receives the No. 3 seed in the Summit League Tournament.
A pair of buckets by senior guard
Kelly Stewart gave the Coyotes an early lead. Stewart scored eight of her 11 points in the first quarter. She grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and swatted down a season-high three blocks.
Senior guard
Nicole Seekamp led the Coyotes with 12 points. She was 3-for-4 with four made free throws in the third quarter. She also handed out three assists all in the third quarter.
With her third-straight double-digit scoring game, sophomore center
Kate Liveringhouse shot 5-for-7 from the field for 11 points. She also pulled down five boards.
IUPUI had four players with 77 percent of the Jaguars points. Forward Akilah Sims and guard Shaquira Scott both scored 14 points. Center Mikale Rogers was also in double figures with 12 points, while guard Danielle Lawrence added nine.
The Coyotes dominated the boards 48-24, highlighted by 18 offensive rebounds. South Dakota scored 21 points off put-backs. In addition to Stewart, junior center

Tia Hemiller had six rebounds.
Junior guard
Caitlin Duffy hit a three with 8:19 remaining to give South Dakota its largest lead of 19 points. She finished with eight points. Remaining starters senior
Margaret McCloud and Hemiller both scored five. Hemiller had a team-high four assists.
South Dakota's bench scored 33 points led by Liveringhouse. Additionally, junior guard
Jasmine Trimboli scored eight points and Fogg had seven. Freshman guard
Jaycee Bradley added five.
The Coyotes play Denver at noon Saturday, March 5, to open the Summit League Tournament.
