SPOKANE, Wash.— South Dakota was unable to find the back of the net in the season-opener Friday in a 4-0 loss to Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington.

The Coyotes (0-1) attempted three shots on goal including two in the second half. Amanda Carpio had a great look from 25-yards out in the 51st minute but Bulldogs goalkeeper Isabel Jones was able to grab the save.
