VERMILLION, S.D. — Strong net play both offensively and defensively carried South Dakota to a 25-21, 25-15, 25-18 sweep over Northeastern Friday during the South Dakota Classic inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
Taylor Wilson, a senior middle blocker, fresh of an all-tournament selection last weekend in Milwaukee, led the Coyotes with 15 kills and no errors for a .625 hitting percentage.

Hayley Dotseth had 12 kills and junior
Elizabeth Loschen added 12 for a South Dakota (3-1) team that had a .322 hitting percentage in the match with 45 kills and only seven errors.
The Coyotes tallied at least seven total team blocks for the fourth straight match as Wilson had one solo and three block assists while a pair of freshmen,
Claire Gerdes and
Jenna Wagemester, tallied three block assists apiece.

Anne Rasmussen led the back row players with 18 digs and junior
Lauren Sauer added 13.
Hannah Boyd led Northeastern (2-2) with 12 kills while the Huskies committed 22 attack errors to go with their .097 hitting percentage.
South Dakota will face California (4-0), who posted a four-set win over Northern Colorado in Friday's first match, at 7 p.m. on Friday.
