LAS CRUCES, N.M. –
Taryn LaBree tallied a pair of goals and the South Dakota soccer team garnered its fourth shutout of the season Thursday, claiming a 3-0 victory at New Mexico State.

Senior goalkeeper
Parker Rytz, in net for all four shutouts, stopped all five shots on goal from the Aggies as the Coyotes improve to 5-2-2. New Mexico State falls to 1-8 overall. Â

South Dakota jumped on the scoreboard in the first minute as LaBree carried the ball down the sideline and crossed into the middle of the penalty box. On a failed clear attempt, the Aggies sent the ball into their own net for the Coyotes goal.

LaBree then tallied two goals in the second half to push the Coyotes to their third-straight victory. The junior's first goal came in the 56
th minute on a penalty kick, sending the kick from the mark past the NMSU goalkeeper. She sealed the victory in the 82
nd minute thanks to a pass from freshman
Taylor Cotter. LaBree received the ball near the top of the box and beat the goalkeeper to the bottom-left corner of the net.

The contest marked the second time in LaBree's career where she had a multi-goal game. The first was last season at Fort Wayne.

South Dakota totaled nine shots on the evening with five of them landing on frame. Junior
Kellee Willer led USD with three shots while
Maddison Sullivan and LaBree each added two.
Tiannah Moore and
Zoe Anderson added the other two shots for South Dakota. Alexa Barrera led the Aggies with five shots, placing three between the posts.

Rytz has now tallied back-to-back shutouts and owns a 0.96 goals against average for the season. New Mexico State played a pair of goalkeepers with Ashley Martin giving up one goal and Dmitri Fong giving up two goals.

South Dakota, unbeaten in seven of its last eight games, is set to celebrate Senior Day on Sunday hosting UMKC. Kickoff against the Kangaroos is scheduled for 1 p.m. with the Senior Day celebration beginning at 12:45 p.m.
