SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota golf programs had two members named to the Summit League All-Academic Teams as announced by the league Wednesday. Juniors Scott Fudenberg and Katie Bartlett each earned the honor for their hard work in the classroom and strong play on the course.

Fudenberg earns a spot on the team for the second-straight year as he holds a 3.87 GPA in finance. The native of Hastings, Minnesota, competed in 10 events in 2018-19 totaling nine rounds under par. He averaged 74.8 shots per round with a season-low of 69 strokes in the second round of the Missouri Tiger Invitational. Playing all three rounds of the event under par, he finished at 6-under-par and tied for 11th.

At the Summit League Championship, the junior placed a season-best eighth with 222 strokes.

Bartlett owns a 3.93 GPA while earning a nursing degree. She competed in all 10 events for the women's golf team and claimed individual medalist honors at the Creighton Classic shooting 1-over-par. The Pierre, South Dakota, native averaged 78 strokes per round for the season and was part of the Coyotes' team victory at the Loyola Fall Invitational.

To be eligible for the academic all-league team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA above a 3.30, completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
