SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—South Dakota senior first baseman
Jamie Holscher was named to the 2019 Academic All-Summit League Softball Team announced Wednesday by the league office and voted on by the league's faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors.
Holscher, who hails from Lincoln, Nebraska, was an all-Summit and all-region performer for the Coyotes. She led the Summit League in hits, RBIs and total bases and had the second-best batting average. Holscher hit .364 on the year with 10 home runs, 48 RBIs and 29 runs scored. She also had 14 doubles, second-most in the league, and a triple.
Three of Holscher's 10 home runs were game winners. She slugged a team-best .610 and had a .415 on-base percentage. In conference play, she hit .388 with three homers and 14 RBIs in 18 games.
To be eligible for the academic all-league team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA above 3.30, completed at least one year at the current institution and participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions.
