CHICAGO—The South Dakota Coyotes women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers on Friday evening at Loyola Soccer Park.
The Ramblers (1-2) got on the board early in the 13
th minute of the game. Simone Wark scored her first goal of the season on a pass from Megan Nemec.
Aleska Tataryn of Loyola added an insurance goal in the 68
th minute as she scooped a rebounded shot from Nemec to get past USD goalkeeper
Emma Harkleroad.
The Coyotes' (1-2) lone goal was scored in the 88
th minute from
Jordan Centineo. Centineo headed her first goal in a Coyote uniform from the corner on a pass from Tayler Cotter. The assist is also Cotter's third in her collegiate career.
USD continues in Chicago Sunday against Illinois-Chicago with the start set for noon. The Flames come into the matchup against the Coyotes with a 1-1-0 record, with their most recent contest being a 1-0 victory over Toledo on Thursday.
