South Dakota basketball coaches Todd Lee and Dawn Plitzuweit are guests on this week's "YoteCast," the official podcast of Coyote athletics hosted by John Thayer.
 
Both coaches touch on life since COVID, the makeup of their new rosters and how scheduling is progressing for the upcoming season. Lee, a USD alum, was asked to reflect on past Dakota Days and what a typical homecoming week is like. Plitzuweit discusses her collaboration with the Coyote Crazies on the Yote Yard Face-Off event underway.
 
The episode starts as it normally does with athletic director David Herbster. He highlights this year's Dakota Days events including Cruisin' with the Coyotes and touches on the latest in testing as it relates to the upcoming basketball season. Plus, the Ask the AD segment looks for schedule releases, fans in the stands, and eligibility decisions for winter sports.

Thayer has been the voice of South Dakota women's basketball for the last seven seasons and a sideline reporter for Coyote football for the past five seasons. Starting this year, Thayer will serve as the play-by-play announcer for both Coyote football and Coyote men's basketball.
