Yotes Host UND & NDSU

VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota Coyotes will return home to host North Dakota and North Dakota State Friday and Sunday at the First Banl & Trust Soccer Complex. Sunday's game vs NDSU will be the pink game.
 
South Dakota comes into the weekend in fifth place in the standings with a 2-2 record in conference action. The Yotes have a 5-1 record at home this season.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
  • The Yotes defense has been making a name for themselves on the nationally level ranking in the top 10 in several categories.
  • USD ranks fourth in save percentage, 28th in goals against average and seventh in shutout percentage. The Yotes also tied for the most shutouts thus far in the Summit League with eight.
  • Emma Harkleroad ranks fifth in save percentage in the nation. She leads the conference with six shutouts on the season and has a 6-1-2 record on the season.
SERIES HISTORY VS NORTH DAKOTA
• The Fighting Hawks come to Vermillion on a two-game losing streak to the Yotes.
• The Yotes hold a 15-13-5 record all-time against UND.
• The last meeting between these two saw the Yotes crush the Fighting Hawks in a 3-0 finish in Grand Forks.
• North Dakota has not won against the USD soccer team since October of 2019.

SERIES HISTORY VS NDSU
• The Yotes are on a two-game win streak against the Bison but the Bison hold a 13- 4-1 all-time record.
• The last meeting between these two teams saw the Yotes victorious at home with a final score of 3-0.

LOOK ACROSS THE PITCH
Both the Fighting Hawks and Bison had a rough non conference season. However, the Bison have gone 2-1 in their first three Summit games while UND has gone 1-2 in their first three games.
The Bison defeated ORU and rival UND while falling to Kansas City while the Fighting Hawks have defated ORU and have fallen to Kansas City and NDSU.

LAST TIME OUT
The Yotes got back into the win column this past Sunday at Kansas City after hitting a two game losing skid to Western Illiois and Oral Roberts. USD sits in fifth place on the outside looking in with only five conference games remaining.
