VERMILLION, S.D.—Coyote athletic director David Herbster will throw out the first pitch of the Sioux Falls Canaries game on Saturday, Aug. 14, as a part of USD Night at the Birdcage. The Canaries take on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at 6:05 p.m.
 
The South Dakota athletic department will partner with Charlie's Bookstore & Fan Shop and the USD Alumni Association in hosting USD Night. As a part of the promotion, $5 from every online ticket sale will benefit USD's Dakotathon.
 
USD entertainment will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the park, featuring a photo station with Charlie Coyote and spirit squad members. There will also be USD prize packs raffled off throughout the game.
 
Charlie's Bookstore & Fan Shop will be on site selling USD apparel. Charlie's donates a portion of sales back to benefit student scholarships. Fans can also order USD apparel ahead of the evening at usdcharliestore.com.
