BROOKINGS, S.D.—Seventh-year senior Abby Ripperda, freshman Madison Brouwer, fourth-year junior Abrielle Jirele and fifth-year senior Ella Byers each earned a place on the all-Summit League first team on Saturday at the Summit League Championships.

Ripperda collects all-Summit honors for the third time of her career. She placed third in the race with a time of 21:13.97 over the 6,000-meter Edgebrook Golf Course.

Brouwer makes the all-Summit first team in her first season and took home the Newcomer of the Championship award as the top-placing freshman. She finished fourth in 21:17.52.

Jirele picks up all-Summit honors for the second time of her career, previously making the second team in 2021. She clocked 21:17.64 for fifth place.

Byers garners her first career all-Summit honors in cross country, finishing sixth in 21:18.64.

This marked the third time as members of the Summit League that the Coyotes have taken up four of the seven spots on the all-Summit first team, following the 2014 and 2017 seasons. South Dakota's women have compiled 42 all-Summit accolades since joining the league in 2011.

South Dakota captured the program's sixth women's Summit League team title on Saturday after being picked fourth in the preseason coaches' poll.

Next up for the Coyotes is the NCAA Midwest Regional held Nov. 10 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
