Coyote Volleyball adds Power to roster

12.14.2023

VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota head volleyball coach Leanne Williamson is pleased to announce the addition of Barrett Power to the roster for the 2024 fall campaign.

Power, a native of Lincoln, Neb., spent the past four seasons at Colorado State University and plans to transfer to South Dakota with one season of eligibility remaining.

"I am very excited to welcome Barrett to the Coyote family," said head coach Leanne Williamson. "Barrett is going to be a great addition to our program as a player and as a leader. I am looking forward to having her in the gym this spring to train with the team and make an impact!"

Power played in 33 sets and 16 matches for the Rams this fall as a serving specialist and setter. In four years at Colorado State, Power has totaled 275 assists, 114 digs, and 22 service aces.

The 5-foot-10 setter prepped at Lincoln Christian School in Lincoln, Neb., where she was a four-year letter winner and three-time all-conference member.

Power becomes a Coyote in the footsteps of her older brother, Logan Power, who played for the South Dakota men's basketball team from 2014-2019.
