VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota assistant athletic director for sports medicine Colby Keegan is pleased to announce the addition of Heather Deal to his staff. Deal will work primarily with the Coyote volleyball and women's tennis programs.
 
Deal started as a graduate assistant trainer at Liberty University in 2020 where she oversaw the softball team. Prior to assuming that position, Deal graduated with a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Liberty in 2019. Deal also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Jacksonville State for the 2019-20 school year where she oversaw women's volleyball and men's and women's tennis.
 
Deal hails from Selby, South Dakota, and earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree at Liberty University.
