Coyote Alley, Presented by HyVee and Scheels

The South Dakota athletic department is excited to announce enhancements to Coyote Alley for the 2023 football season. Presented by HyVee and Scheels, Coyote Alley is located directly north of the tennis courts and will feature live music, games, food and more. This area is free for the public to access and will be home to alumni, Coyote Sports Properties and student tailgate programming.

NEW AT COYOTE ALLEY: 

  • HYVEE AND SCHEELS PARTNERSHIP: Both HyVee and Scheels are the presenting sponsors of Coyote Alley this season. Their support helps enhance the entertainment options all season long.
  • TAYLOR STREET CLOSED: In an effort to provide a safer environment for attendees and to expand entertainment options, Taylor Street, located directly north of Coyote Alley will be closed prior to games. It will reopen at the conclusion of all games to ease exiting traffic. Fans parking in lots A, B, C or D are asked to enter from Dakota Street.
  • REVAMPED MUSIC PRESENTATION: A new stage and sound system will be utilized this season. The stage will have a larger surface area and higher elevation. The sound system will triple the speaker presence. 
  • EXPANDED FOOD OPTIONS & INFLATABLES: A least one food truck and food tent will be on-hand for each game at Coyote Alley. Additional inflatables will also be available for children.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 vs. ST. THOMAS (HOME OPENER)
    • MUSIC: Canby Misfits
    • FOOD: HyVee (FREE) and Q Holdings BBQ Truck
    • AG APPRECIATION DAY: Ag Equipment on display
    • AUTOGRAPH SESSION: Coyote Greats and NFL Alumni Tyler Starr and AJ Schable
    • INFLATABLES: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 vs. LAMAR (FAMILY DAY)

    • MUSIC: Blue Rune
    • FOOD: Chick-fil-A and The Taco Bus
    • AUTOGRAPH SESSION: Coyote Athletics
    • INFLATABLES: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7 vs. MURRAY STATE (DAKOTA DAYS)
    • MUSIC: Warning Shots
    • FOOD: HyVee, Q Holdings BBQ Truck and The Taco Bus
    • AUTOGRAPH SESSION: Coyote Athletics
    • INFLATABLES: Noon-1:30 p.m.

INDIVIDUAL TAILGATE SPOTS: Grass tailgate spots, located on the north side of the DakotaDome and south of the practice fields, are available for $100 for the season and $50 on a game-by-game basis. Each grass tailgate spot also includes one parking spot in the paved lot near your tailgate area. Vehicles are not allowed to park on these grass spots but will be permitted to drop off tailgate accessories.
