LOUISVILLE, Ky. – South Dakota softball team dropped a pair of games on Friday during the Cardinal Classic at Ulmer Stadium, falling to Dartmouth, 6-0, and to Illinois, 14-5.

The Coyotes were blanked on four hits by Jensin Hall, who walked three and struck out 11.

Tatum Villotta went 2-for-3 while
Alivia Conte and
Delaney White added singles for South Dakota.

ILLINOIS 14, SOUTH DAKOTA 5
Illinois plated 14 runs on 13 hits off three Coyote pitchers while taking advantage of four errors as six of the 14 runs were unearned.

South Dakota was limited to two hits through four innings before plating four runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.

White went 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Conte had a 2-for-4 game with a run scored and RBI. Villotta singled and scored two runs.

The Coyotes (14-16) close their spring break trip with two games on Saturday playing Dartmouth and Michigan.
