HUMACAO, Puerto Rico – The South Dakota women's golf team sits in seventh place in a twelve-team field after day two of the Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Ball State University. Ella Greenberg leads the Coyotes in a tie for 12^th place with a score of 2-over par score of 146 after two rounds of action.
 
Greenberg started day two with a par followed by back-to-back birdies and pars on the next three of five holes.
 
Two other Coyotes finished in the top 30 after two rounds of action. Ava Schroeder finished day two tied for 26^th place with a 7-over par score of 151 while Emma Henningsson recorded an 8-over par score of 152. Schroeder sunk four birdies on the day while Henningsson had two birdies.
 
Catie Nekola carded a 79 on day two for a score of 154 after two rounds of action in Puerto Rico. She started the day off with a birdie and then parred the next four of five holes. Rounding out the squad for the Yotes was Alexa Wingnean who has a 22-over par score of 166 heading into the final day of competition. Wingnean recorded two birdies on the day.
 
The Coyotes are eight strokes behind Western Carolina for the sixth-place position and 13 strokes behind UNC Greensboro for fifth place.
  
California Baptist continues to lead the team race with a 6-over par score of 582. Florida Gulf Coast shot up the leaderboard by shooting a 2-under par score of 286 on day two to tie California Baptist for the top spot heading into the final round. UNCG's Ava Romfo sits first heading into the final day with a 5-under par score of 139. She sits two strokes ahead of Little Rock's Anna Dawson.
