VERMILLION, S.D. — The Coyote football team will take the field to start the 2024 on a brand new turf field inside the DakotaDome. AstroTurf will provide the synthetic turf installation, that began last week inside the Dome.
 
"We are incredibly excited to work with AstroTurf on this project to provide the premium competition and practice surface our football student-athletes deserve," said Corey Jenkins, Deputy Athletic Director. "The new field also presented the opportunity to re-design the playing surface to a more modern."
  
The end zones will feature the wordmark Coyotes in white on both ends, set on the Coyote red background. Each side of the field from the 20-yard line towards the goal line will feature H. Lauren Lewis Field field name.
 
The new turf will replace the old turf that was installed inside the Dome back in 2012, also installed by AstroTurf.
