WATCH: Coyotes Hold Annual Media Day

08.06.2024

VERMILLION, S.D. — The University of South Dakota football team held their annual football Media Day on Monday, opening practice up to the media and public that proceeded a press conference.
At the press conference, head coach Bob Nielson gave comments on the upcoming season. Defensive lineman Blake Holden (Sr., Watertown, S.D.), defensive back Dennis Shorter (Sr., Daytona Beach, Fla.), quarterback Aidan Bouman (R-Jr., Buffalo, Minn.), and running back Travis Theis (Sr., Pratt, Kan.) made up the student-athlete panel at the press conference.

"When I'm out there on the field with those guys, particularly this group, you feel young. It's a great group of young men," Nielson said to open his time on the mic. "A group that accomplished a lot last year as a football team but left the field without a feeling of accomplishment … there's more to be done and that's what this group has set its sights on."

The full press conference can be listened to by clicking the video above the title or in the red box.
