VERMILLION, S.D. — Athletic Director Jon Schemmel and the University of South Dakota officially introduced Travis Johansen as the 31st head coach in program history Friday afternoon at Johansen's introductory press conference in the Dome Club.

Johansen was hired on January 16 as the program's 31^st head coach. He was promoted after spending the last six seasons as Defensive Coordinator for the Coyotes and the last three seasons as the Associate Head Coach along with his coordinator duties.
