VERMILLION, S.D. — The annual Interstate Series, presented by First Interstate Bank, will feature both South Dakota and South Dakota State wearing all-red and all-blue for the 2025 clash in Vermillion.
"The state of South Dakota is special. The battle for the heart and spirit of our state is important to the Coyotes! We want to make this entire state proud of the way we conduct ourselves on the field, in the NFL and every community border to border," said USD head football coach
Travis Johansen. "Coyotes embody the grit and toughness with a chip on our shoulder. Wearing red, the color of our state is a representation of our love for the state, this game, and the FIGHT we will always put forth for the great state of South Dakota. We wear it on Saturday head to toe for that reason!"
The two schools have agreed to wear their full school colors – helmets, jerseys, and pants – for years to come in the annual rivalry game. It will begin this season in the DakotaDome on national television.
