VERMILLION, S.D. — The South Dakota Coyotes Women's Soccer team pulled off a 6-0 win at home while honoring 10 seniors for Senior Day Saturday against the Morningside Mustangs. 

The Coyotes ended the match with six goals scored by five different players. Klarissa Vega put two goals in the back of the net. Other goals were scored by Mali Van Meeteren, Brooklyn Bordson, and Izzy Quintavalle. There were six assists on all six goals of the match with two coming from Rylee Haldeman. 

Van Meeteren started the Yotes off with a header into the goal off the corner kick from Haldeman. The Coyotes weren't done there however, just six minutes later Bordson scored the second goal of the match with another assist from Haldeman.  

Six minutes after the Bordson goal, Klarissa Vega put the Coyotes up 3-0 off the assist from Gabbie Ryan. Just four minutes later Brooke Nelson sinks it into the back of the net with just 10 minutes remaining before the break for a 4-0 lead. The Coyotes weren't done there, as with just four minutes remaining on the clock for the first half, Vega put another one in the net off an assist from Brooke Conway. The Yotes ended the half with a 5-0 lead.  

The second half had more of the same from the offensive side of things for the Yotes, but they only ended up scoring one goal by Izzy Quintavalle, ten minutes into the start of the second half. 

The Coyotes ended the game having 14 shots on goal and 26 shots total while on the defensive side only facing four shots with only two being on goal.  

South Dakota will head out west next week to face off against Eastern Washington on Thursday 6:30 p.m. central time, and Idaho next Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
