VERMILLION, S.D. — The South Dakota Women's Soccer team will conclude its non-conference season slate this Sunday at 1:00 p.m., hosting the University of Wyoming at the First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex. The match will also serve as the program's celebration of Latin & Hispanic Heritage Day.
THE COYOTES
The Coyotes enter the week with a 4-2-3 record, returning to Vermillion after a road loss to Creighton in Omaha. Freshman forward Klarissa Vega leads South Dakota offensively with five goals this season while a total of eight different Coyotes have found the back of the net, showcasing the team's depth in attack. In goal, Campbell Fischer has been a steady presence, recording 26 saves across eight appearances.
THE COWGIRLS
Wyoming comes into the week with a 5-1-1 record and will first travel to Brookings to face South Dakota State on Thursday before heading to Vermillion. A key player to watch for the Cowgirls is Alyssa Grover (#14), who leads the team with five goals and 12 total points on the season.
