VERMILLION, S.D. — The South Dakota Coyotes women's soccer team returns home this Sunday for a matchup against Central Michigan, with kickoff set for 10:30 a.m. at the First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex, in Vermillion. The game follows a two-match road trip out west, where the Coyotes secured a draw against Eastern Washington and a victory over Idaho.
South Dakota Coyotes
The Coyotes enter this week with a 3-1-2 record. Leading the offensive effort is Klarissa Vega, who has scored four goals so far this season. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Campbell Fischer continues to be a key contributor, recording 11 saves to date.
Central Michigan Chippewas
Central Michigan arrives in Vermillion still seeking its first win of the season, holding a 0-4 record after recent losses to No. 21 Wisconsin and Cincinnati. Despite being held scoreless this season, the Chippewas have shown flashes of offensive pressure through performances from No. 20 Olivia Bertz and No. 12 Abby Freese. Bertz leads the team with five total shots, including two on goal, while Freese has recorded four shots, three of which have been on target.
