OMAHA, Neb. – South Dakota women's basketball hit the road for the first time in over a week Thursday night and defeated Omaha 67-39 to earn their fourth straight conference win.
South Dakota is now 15-5 on the season and 5-1 in conference play, its best start to conference play since the 2021-22 season when USD went 11-0 to open conference play. Four Coyotes scored in double figures and South Dakota held a Summit League opponent under 40 points for the second time in conference play.
The Coyotes led 31-14 at the half, holding the Mavericks to seven points in each of the first two quarters. The duo of
Angelina Robles and
Elise Turrubiates combined to outscore the Mavericks, totaling 17 points in the half compared to Omaha's 14.

South Dakota outscored the Mavericks by 10 in the third and one in the fourth to cushion the lead. The Mavericks never led, and USD's largest lead of the game was 31 with 1:48 to play in the third quarter.

Molly Joyce led all scorers with 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting. She added a season high seven rebounds and tied her career-high with two blocks.
Angelina Robles added 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Turrubiates and
Josie Hill added 10 points each. Hill added eight rebounds and three assists.
Patience Williams added eight points and eight rebounds in just 15 minutes of action.

USD shot 41.4% from the field and 33.3% from the three. The Coyote defense, the nation's No. 4 field goal percentage defense, held Omaha to 22.2% from the field and 13.3% from three. The Mavericks started 0-for-9 from three before making two of their last six.

The Coyotes now turn their attention to the top team in the Summit League, as they will be in Fargo Saturday to take on the North Dakota State Bison. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
