WR Brayden White (#2) hauls in the game-winning TD grab in overtime vs. UND (Oct. 24)

Brayden White Garners First Career MVFC Weekly Honor

10.26.2026

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — After securing the game-winning touchdown in the top-10 clash with North Dakota this weekend, redshirt freshman Brayden White has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

It was a big day for the redshirt freshman in the top-10 clash against No. 6/8-ranked North Dakota. He brought down his league-leading eighth touchdown reception, which happened to be the game-winning score in overtime.

He finished the day with six receptions for 101 yards. He had a long of 40 yards in the first quarter and he recorded his first-career 100-yard receiving game this season. It's the fourth time a Coyote has had a 100-yard receiving game this season.

Entering State week, White is leading the MVFC with his eight touchdown receptions on the season. He's top-5 in six total offense categories, including receptions (T3rd), receiving yards (4th), receptions per game (5th), receiving yards per game (5th), and all-purpose yards (5th).

It's the first career MVFC weekly honor for White, who is in his second season at South Dakota in 2026 following his redshirt season last year.

The Tarentum, Pa. native is the fourth Coyote to earn MVFC weekly honors this season. He joins Austyn Modrzewski, Brook Honore Jr., and Lucas Feldkamp to be honored the conference offense this season. The Yotes have now won Offensive, Special Teams, Newcomer, and Offensive Lineman Player of the Week honors throughout the 2026 campaign.

The Yotes hit the road for a road for another top-10 clash in the 2026 Interstate Series battle up north against No. 6-ranked South Dakota State. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. on ESPNU on Saturday, October 31.
