GREELEY, Colo. — The South Dakota women's soccer team played Northern Colorado to a 0-0 draw Thursday night at Jackson Stadium. 

South Dakota and Northern Colorado each had opportunities throughout the match, but neither side could break through as the Coyotes earned their third shutout of the season. 

The Bears held an 11-8 advantage in shots, while both teams placed five shots on goal. South Dakota goalkeeper Cambell Fischer finished with five saves to record her third clean sheet of the season. 

Gabbie Ryan led the Coyotes with two shots on goal, while Klarissa Vega, Brooke Conway and Kinsley Pesicka each put one attempt on target. The Coyotes also earned four corner kicks in the match. 

South Dakota had three corner kick opportunities in the opening half but was unable to find the back of the net. Fischer made three saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the match scoreless heading into halftime. 

The Coyotes generated five shots in the second half, with three on goal, while Fischer added two more saves in the final 45 minutes. Neither team was able to capitalize as the match finished in a scoreless draw. 

With the result, South Dakota moves to 2-1-2 on the season so far. 

South Dakota closes its road trip Sunday at Wyoming. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CT in Laramie.
