One of 25 Coyotes who played in all 12 games, he as a reserve inside linebacker … finished as the team’s 13th-leading tackler with 27 stops including 2.5 for loss and 13 solo tackles … had a season-high six tackles (three solo) in the home opener against William Penn (9/6), which included three stops on special teams … had a solo tackle on Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota in the season opener at FBS national runner-up Oregon (8/30).
2013
Played in all 12 games and earned 11 starts at inside linebacker ... finished sixth on the team in tackles with 53, including 32 solo stops ... forced a fumble that was recovered by USD in each of the first two games of the season ... ran an interception back 22 yards for a touchdown in a 17-14 win against Missouri State (10/5) ... had a season-high eight tackles at Western Illinois (9/28) ... had seven tackles in the season finale at North Dakota State (11/23) ... had six tackles in three other games.

Earned a start at linebacker vs. Colgate (9/8) and was one of 38 Coyotes who played in all 11 games...led the team with 14 tackles and recovered a fumble in the season opener at Montana (9/1)...finished sixth on the team in tackles with 47 (12 solo, 35 assists) including 1.5 for loss...had seven tackles vs. NDSU (10/20)...led the team with 11 special teams tackles and had three vs. Western Illinois (10/6).

With former NFL linebacker John Holocek as his coach, Kyle Guziec developed into one of the top inside linebackers in the Chicago area at Loyola Academy...as a senior, Guziec posted 113 tackles, including 12 for a loss, five sacks and two interceptions to lead the No. 1 defense in the state of Illinois...earned first-team all-conference honors and all-area accolades from the Pioneer Press after ending the season with a 22-tackle effort in the state semifinals...in the classroom, was an honor roll student
