Had a breakthrough senior season with three top 15 finishes…earned second-team all-conference with a 14th place finish at the Summit League Conference Championships…led the team at the Roy Griak Invitational with a75th place finish in 23:19 (6k)…ran a career-best time of 18:56 (5k) at the Tim Young Invitational for 10th place…was the third Coyote across the line at the NCAA Regional in 72nd with a time of 22:19 (6k)…named to the Summit League’s Distinguished Scholar’s list.

Gress captained her 2008 cross country team to its first Nebraska Class A district championship and second Nebraska Class A state meet appearance where they earned a fifth-place team finish...four-time medalist at the Nebraska Class A state cross country meet...named to her third all-state and fourth all-conference cross country teams...three-time Metro Conference all-academic team honoree...four-time academic all-state cross country team selection...four-time letterwinner in cross country...Class A state track qualifier in the 800(08), 1600 (06, 07, 08, 09), 3200 (06, 09), and 4x800 (08, 09)...holds school records in the 800, 1600, and is a member of the school record 4x800 relay...member of district champion 4x800 team as a senior...four-time letterwinner in track...three-time Metro Conference all-academic team honoree....Nebraska State finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award....four-year member of the honor roll...member of National Honor Society.
