Finished seventh at the GWC Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:04.22...also earned an eighth-place finish at the outdoor championships in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.33...ran a season-best time 1,500-meter time of 4:00.64 at the Nebraska Open...did not compete during indoor season.
Prep
A five sport athlete for Sioux Center High School, Jacob Evenson ran for Coach Brock Lehman. A four-time state qualifier in track, Evenson placed sixth in the 800 meters in 2009. He was named to the all-conference cross country team and finished 20th at the state meet in 2009. At the 2010 state track and field meet he finished fourth in the 800 in 1:57 and sixth in the 1,600 in 4:34. Evenson has personal bests of 52 in the 400 meters, 1:57 in the 800 meters, and 4:34 in the 1,600 meters.
