Competed at five meets during the indoor season … threw a personal best of 46-11 ¾ for the weight throw at the SDSU Holiday Invitational … placed 15th in the shot put with a season-best throw of 47-7 ¼ at the Hawkeye Invitational … took 13th in the shot put at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational with a throw of 47-1 ¾.

Outdoor Track & Field
Threw at five meets outdoors … recorded a season-best of 49-4 ¼ in the shot put, placing eighth at the Red Raider Open … posted a personal best hammer throw of 141-4 at the South Dakota Challenge … also took eighth in the shot put at the South Dakota Challenge with a mark of 48-7 ½ … took eighth at the Sioux City Relays with a shot put throw of 47-8 … made the Summit League honor roll.

Prep
Captured the 2017 Illinois Class 1A Track and Field Championships in the indoor shot put and finished runner-up outdoors ... added a seventh-place finish in the discus ... a two-time West Central Conference champion in both the shot put and the discus ... also had the top hammer throw mark in Illinois as a junior with a distance of 143-0 ... plays football and wrestles for Hamilton High School as well ... a three-time all-conference defensive lineman on the Titans' football team.
