
How will the seating process work?
South Dakota Athletics wants to make the process of moving into the new Sanford Coyote Sports Center as customer-friendly and simple as possible. It is our hope that donors and season ticket holders use this information to better understand how they can participate in this process.
In August, all 2015-16 basketball season ticket holders will receive a season ticket order form for basketball. In the order form, each seat will require a deposit of $100 per seat. In order to better serve our fans during the seating process, orders MUST be received by September 12
th. Fans can order their seats by mailing back the order form, by going online to
www.GoYotes.com/tickets, or by calling the Coyote Ticket Office.
Coyote fans have also received the 2016-17 Howling Pack Brochure. The 2016-17 Howling Pack Brochure outlines the benefits of becoming a Howling Pack Member, outlines how your current and past donations reflect on your Coyote Points total, and Student-Athlete testimonials on how your generosity is reflected on the field and in the classroom. All donations and deposits must be received by September 12
th. At that time, we will take a “snapshot” of all current Coyote Point totals for all donors. Your point total and ranking at that date and time will be the basis upon which seat selection times will be made. Any gift made after that date will not count toward your seat selection appointment time, but will be added to your Coyote Point total for future benefits allocation.
South Dakota Athletics will host an open house of the new Sanford Coyote Sports Center on August 30
th. This event will be open to 2015-16 Basketball Season ticket holders and new accounts who have made their deposits for season tickets for the upcoming 2016-17 basketball season. During this open house, fans will have the opportunity to look at different areas of the Sanford Coyote Sports Center and determine their favorite seat locations.
In the month of September, seat selection appointment times will be sent out to all season ticket holders. The order of these appointments will be based on each season ticket holder’s Coyote Point total and ranking. Each season ticket holder will have a 10 minute appointment time to either come in-person to select their seats or make their selection over the phone.
At the time of your seat selection, the remaining balance of your ticket order will be due, as well as payment schedule of your Howling Pack gift.
What is a seat deposit?
In order to become a 2016-17 Coyote Basketball season ticket holder, a deposit of $100 per seat is required. For example, the purchase of 4 seats will require a deposit of $400. Your seat deposit will go directly into the cost of your season tickets. Any remaining balance owed for your season tickets will be due upon selection of your seats.
Is it possible to select seats with my friends?
Yes. Season ticket holders wishing to sit with another account must fill out the
“companion” form included with your season ticket order form. This form must accompany your season ticket renewal before the September 12
th deadline. In order to sit with another account, the USD Ticket Office will average the Priority Point totals of the accounts on the “companion” form and assign those accounts the same seat selection appointment time. On the “companion” form, your group must designate one representative as the ticket office contact. This individual will confirm the final seat locations on behalf of the collective group.
How can I obtain additional Coyote Points, or move up in my priority standing?
The quickest way to increase your Coyote Points between now and your seat appointment time is to make a gift to the Howling Pack by September 12
th. Coyote Points are accumulated over time and reflect both generosity of giving and support of South Dakota Athletics through the purchase of season tickets. An account will earn 10 points for every $100 given in 2016, 1 point for every $100 donated before 2016, and points given for loyalty and affinity. Please consult the Howling Pack Brochure or go to

When is the last day to donate to the Howling Pack to increase my priority point total?
Gifts to the Howling Pack made on or before September 12
th will be used to determine seat selection appointment times.
When will the seat selection process begin?
The first seats will be selected in September, 2016.
When will I know my appointment time?
Seat selection appointment times will be assigned and communicated to season ticket holders in mid-September. In order to be assigned a time to select seats, all season ticket holders must have their season ticket deposits submitted by September 12
th.
What will my seating options be?
All seating options will be explained at the time of your appointment. Season ticket holders are encouraged to attend the August 30
th Open House to gain a better understanding of the arena and seat locations.
How can I gain access to Club Seating?
Howling Pack Gold Club members get first access to Club Seating. A $2,000 donation makes you eligible to purchase, but does not guarantee your seat location. Fans must make a minimum donation of $1,000 per seat to be eligible to purchase tickets in the Club Seating, and must purchase a minimum of two seats. There are 148 seats available in the Club Seating, and the donors highest on the Coyote Points list will get first access to these seats and the Club area.
When is payment due for my seats?
All $100 per seat deposits are due on September 12
th. This will allow the Coyote Ticket Office to schedule your seat selection appointment.
What happens if I am not available during my appointment time?
All season ticket holders are encouraged, if possible, to be present for their appointment in person or via phone. We feel this will be the best way for fans to visualize all seating options available to them.
However, if you know in advance that you will not be available in person or over the phone for your appointment time, there are several options available to fans to make their seat selection.
- You may call the Coyote Ticket Office in advance and discuss seating preferences with a Ticket Representative. The Ticket Representative will take notes on your preferences for seating and will utilize those notes to assign seat locations for you based on the best availability during your designated seat selection appointment time.
- You may contact the Coyote Ticket Office to designate a proxy to select seats on your behalf during your seat selection appointment time. This representative would come in person to the seat selection and select seats for you on your behalf.
- You may request the Coyote Ticket Office to call you at a time after your seat selection appointment time. A Ticket Representative will be able to discuss available seat options over the phone.
