USD ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS
The University of South Dakota Athletic Communications Office serves as the liaison between the Coyotes' 16 nationally-recognized sports and local, state, and national media outlets. The athletic communications staff works closely with the coaches, student-athletes and the University to enhance the publicity efforts and showcase the accomplishments of USD student-athletes in competition, the classroom, and in the Vermillion community. University of South Dakota Athletics are proud members of the the Summit League (Olympic Sports), the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) (football), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I.

The Athletic Communications office maintains information on all current student-athletes, as well as historical information on previous student-athletes and Coyotes Athletics in general. MEDIA INFORMATION
Interviews

All interview requests for South Dakota student-athletes must be coordinated through the communications.

Athletes: Please do not reach out to student-athletes directly. Cell phone numbers for student-athletes will not be provided and players, generally, have been instructed not to accept calls from media with out prior notice from their communications representative.

Coaches: All interviews with South Dakota coaches (head coaches and/or assistant coaches) also need to be coordinated through the communications office.

Email Distribution
Previews, game notes, recaps, stories, and other information are emailed to the media by the athletic communications office. Media members that would like to be added to the South Dakota Athletics email distribution list should contact Steve Carlson to be included in future releases.

Credentials
Season credentials will generally be available for credentialed media, offered late summer heading into the upcoming fall season. Requests should be directed to Assistant AD for Communications Steve Carlson

Single-game credentials are available for ticketed sports (basketball, football, volleyball). Please contact the respective communications personnel via email to get a credential.

Photography
Per NCAA guidelines, photographers are limited to shooting in the designated areas along the competition surface. Please contact respective sport communications personnel with questions for USD facilities.

Post-Game Procedures
A member of the athletic communications staff will be available to assist in arranging post-game interviews. Football and basketball coaches will not be available until after their radio interview. Complete statistical packets will be disseminated to the media as soon as they are completed following the game.

Game Day Services for Media
Media are invited to work in the designated areas of respective South Dakota venues. Wireless internet is available at most facilities, including the DakotaDome and the Sanford Coyote Sports Center (SCSC). Statistics will be provided at appropriate breaks and at the conclusion of the game.

DakotaDome (football): Seating is limited inside the DakotaDome. We ask that non-seasoned credentialed media members let Assistant AD for Steve Carlson know by Wednesday afternoons of home game weeks. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

SCSC (basketball/volleyball): Media seating inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center (SCSC) is located in front of the Midco Sports Production Booth in the arena. We ask for a 48 hour notice if you wish to have a spot.

Video Distribution
Video distribution is handled through USD Marketing and Creative Content, which produces highlight packages of many Coyote athletic events and press conferences (for HC Bob Nielson). To access the video distribution list or request footage, please contact Director of Video Production and Creative Content Anezka Szabo at anezka.szabo@usd.edu.
