History
Doug Smith was a standout athlete at the University of South Dakota, excelling in both baseball and football. Graduating with a BS degree in Business Management in 1978, he left a lasting impact on the university's sports history. His remarkable achievements earned him a place in the USD Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame, being the only player to receive all-NCC honors in both sports. Doug's legacy as a member of the Coyote Brotherhood continues to inspire.
Fund Notes
Gifts will be used to support USD athletics, subject to the additional restrictions, if any: A scholarship award will be made to a student-athlete who is a member of the USD Football team and meets all requirements to be a student in good standing. Preference for a student-athlete from the "Siouxland" area (defined as approximately a 50-mile radius of Sioux City) who plays a position on the defense.
