A five-time placer at the South Dakota Class A Cross Country Championships ... helped the Blue Dragons capture the state title as an eighth grader in 2013 ... also ran on the runner-up team in 2012 ... holds the Garretson High School record for the 3,200-meter run with a clocking of 11:42 ... additional personal bests include 19:40 for 5,000 meters on the cross country course and 5:26 for the 1,600 meters ... also played basketball for the Blue Dragons ... a member of the National Honor Society.
