Halle Owecke joined the South Dakota athletic training staff on Aug. 7, 2023. She works primarily with the Coyote track & field and cross country programs.

Owecke comes to South Dakota with eight years of experience as an athletic trainer, rehabilitation assistant and physical therapy technician.
 
Most recently, Owecke was serving as an athletic trainer for Work-Fit, performing orthopedic evaluations of work related and non-work related symptoms with triage or treatment.
 
Owecke previously spent time at the Mayo Clinic working as a physical medicine and rehabilitation assistant. She also has experience working as a physical therapy technician for Exercisabilities, Inc.
 
Owecke graduated from Luther College in May of 2015 with her bachelor's degree in biology. Owecke also earned a pair of degrees from Winona State University while participating in several research projects. She completed her bachelor's in movement science in May of 2020 and finished her master's degree in athletic training in May of 2022.
